Since we delivered Charlie Camel to Felixstowe, things have been pretty quiet here. I had news today from the shiping agents that the vessel, MSC Christina will be sailing tonight at 2300hrs. So if anyone fancies running down to wave goodbye...
Without a vehicle to prepare, we have spent the last week sorting out paperwork. The never ending list of things to sort out seems to be, well, never ending!
This is where we will write about all the stuff we do to prepare ourselves and our vehicle for the trip of a lifetime, a trip around the USA and Canada!
A brief history
We have been planning this trip since October 2005. At the time Jen was looking at the possibility of driving from Anchorage in Alaska to Orlando in Florida. Dan was thinking about a trip around the world. When we finally got it together, we decided that North America has a huge diversity of landscapes, people and things to do that this would be a good destination for our once in a lifetime trip.
July 2007 is when we go. But now that time is running out we really have to get on and get things done. Finding information is a bit of a time consuming job, so we hope to make it easier for anybody doing something similar by providing as much info as we can, either here in the bloggy thing, or over at our main website, Getmuddy.co.uk
