Having had Charlie home for a week, the first Shire playday of the year beckoned.
And in true style Jen buried Charlies nose in a big puddle of gloop.
On the way home we blew a head gasket... oh what joy!
This is where we will write about all the stuff we do to prepare ourselves and our vehicle for the trip of a lifetime, a trip around the USA and Canada!
A brief history
We have been planning this trip since October 2005. At the time Jen was looking at the possibility of driving from Anchorage in Alaska to Orlando in Florida. Dan was thinking about a trip around the world. When we finally got it together, we decided that North America has a huge diversity of landscapes, people and things to do that this would be a good destination for our once in a lifetime trip.
July 2007 is when we go. But now that time is running out we really have to get on and get things done. Finding information is a bit of a time consuming job, so we hope to make it easier for anybody doing something similar by providing as much info as we can, either here in the bloggy thing, or over at our main website, Getmuddy.co.uk

Loads of info about temporary import of a UK vehicle to the USA. We used Kingstown Shipping in Hull. If you ship to New York then they can organise the whole trip for you. Post up a comment with an email adress on and I'll give you as much info as I can... don't wory, I won't publish your email address.
